The City of Hamina grants grants to associations and organizations, as well as to individual residents and companies through various forms of grants or applications.

Currently, the target grant is open, and on Monday, November 24, 2025, applications for the Healthy Hamina Citizen grant for 2026 will open.

  • (NEW FORM OF GRANT) Targeted grants for activities in early 2026. Application period 3.11. – 21.11.2025.
  • Well-being of Hamina residents grant application for 2026. Application period 24.11. – 5.1.2026.

Well-being of Hamina residents grants are allocated to registered communities in Hamina in the form of cultural, sports, youth and other welfare-promoting grants. Grants are applied for in the turn of the year application for the following operating year. The Vitality and Wellbeing Committee decides on cultural, sports, youth and other welfare-promoting grants and awards.

A youth association is defined as an association whose members have at least 2/3 of them under the age of 29. Read more about the decision confirmed by the Hamina Vitality and Wellbeing Committee here from the assistance guidelines.
